The Salty Crew consists of 7 Sailors and 7 Senoritas. The sailors, led by the legendary Captain Diego, set sail in search of a miraculous cure for the beloved queen of Spain. Deathly ill, all that could save her was the mysterious prickly “aqua miel” or honey water plant. Not long after embarking into the deep blue ocean, a treacherous storm approached on the high seas. Thunderous waves crashed into the ship throwing the crew about like a bunch of rag dolls. Diego was tossed unconscious deep into the ocean left to die along with the ship. Or so he thought, until he awoke on shore in front of a beautiful mermaid with bronze skin and piercing blue eyes, he was in love. This beautiful creature was the Queen Maria, who along with her seven sisters, (also mermaids) known as the Salty Senoritas, taught Diego’s crew how to fish, harvest the land and how to turn their cargo of prickly plants into the sweetest honey water they ever tasted. The sailors made the island their home enjoying every bit of their indigenous food, tasty tequila and of course, their salty senoritas.

And after many years past, the senors and senoritas grew and added the Salty Kids to their crew. Although they are officially led by The Cutthroat Kid, Suzi Surfer would say that she is the real leader. They have a secret handshake and a hidden clubhouse where they meet every other Friday to hang-out and search for buried treasure.
